remix: code is law

Dave Winer has remixed the "code is law" meme. Nicely, unsurprisingly.

Forgive me for just jumping in here to the latest post with a comment not related to it, but I have to ask you what you think about the VeriSign Site Finder affair.

My first response was that, in addition to it being an unwelcome interruption into my space (which I freely admit is just my personal reaction) that I didn't want VeriSign adding layers of complexity into the middle of the Net. It precludes anybody else doing any error handling and it forces people to write to their interface.

I hear other people saying the techo-zealots are working overtime and how come we haven't seen any of this innovation they're always talking about anyhow.

What do you think?

By entering the words in the box, you are also helping to digitize texts that were written before the computer age. The words that you see were taken directly from old texts that are being scanned and stored by the Internet Archive. This CAPTCHA helps proofread the books. If the sample is too hard to read, click the recycle button to get another two. A space between each word is required. And thanks for the comment and help.
