Ro v. Lantos: The Debate

Congressman Lantos has agreed to a debate with Ro Khanna. The debate will be on Friday, February 27, at the San Mateo City Council Chambers (map), starting at 7pm. I'm flying in from an event in Minnesota, and so will be a bit late, but it would be great to blog the debate. Anyone local game for some campaign-warblogging?

is this going to be broadcast locally? i would love to see the debate, but getting down there by 7pm from the city sounds like an impossible feat. maybe i'll catch caltrain down. but if i end up going, i can certainly tote along my laptop.

Will you be at a public event in Minnesota? What? Where?

The debate will be shown on channel 26 on Pen TV on Saturday at 7:30pm, Sunday at 8pm and on Monday at 7pm.

Carleton College. Just finished. What a great place that is. About to board a plane to make it back to see Ro.

unfortunately i don't think i get pen-tv in san francisco. or do i?

I don't know if you regularly read the SF Weekly (goodness knows I don't), but this week's issue happens to have a major story/hit piece of Khanna:

i'm heading down to san mateo in a little bit. will take my laptop and will take notes.

Nope, you can't get Pen TV in SF (that is an issue that is being discussed by people brainstorming on what a new cable franchise agreement should be like in SF - more info at mediasf.org).

I imagine you could ask Ro's campaign for a copy or even suggest they show it in San Francisco.

Ro responds to the Weekly article.

nice site i really like it
