letters to moveon.org
The critical question for the Democrats will be whether they can continue the passion that created Dean. I received a copy of this letter, reprinted with permission, sent to MoveOn by one of Dean's supporters:
Dear MoveOn.org:I am a Dean supporter who signed your petition to CBS, though
I'm not a member, yet. I would like to ask your help.Dean supporters are apprehensive that the Democrats are
attempting stifle Dean's presidential campaign because it is a
grassroots campaign at heart. The DNC (DLC), Clinton and
Congressional Democrats are seeking to create a monolith with
only 2 primaries completed.I and others like me at the "Conversation with America" at the
Dean forums (Click Forums at BlogforAmerica.com) would like
tips on how to publish an Open Letter to the DNC in a
national publication. I'm not rich and I'm not affiliated
with the Dean Campaign. We just feel that we represent a
sizable voting block of the new Progressivism. And it seems
that there is a concerted effort lead by Democrats and
parroted by the media, to disenfranchise us.Any tips you may have would be appreciated. If Moveon.org
could put me in touch with a like minded PAC, individual or
organization, we would be so happy. Although I have no
experience with this kind of activism, I am willing to learn.
I have been a quiet Democrat all my life and this is new to
me.

Strong allegations are made in this letter against the party. Yet, no supporting evidence is presented. It's a conspiracy theory without substance. Kerry and Edwards are both just better candidates than Dean and Clark. The supporting evidence for that statement is in their records, achievements, and results in Iowa and New Hampshire. Neither belong to the DLC (as far as I know) and, as far as I know, the DNC was not involved in moving voters toward either of those candidates in New Hampshire or Iowa. If anyone has evidence to the contrary, please present it. If Dean advocates want to stay active, nothing is barring them from supporting the party's nominee (which may still be Dean). Most candidates have seen merit in the Dean message and Deaniacs' concern with special interests and are responding. Let's give them a chance and give the voters of Iowa, New Hampshire, and the next 7 states some credit for being able to evaluate candidates and vote their beliefs.
Well, let's see... the DNC chairman is calling for a quick nomination and asking the "second string" candidates to start dropping out. Personally, I'd like to see such an open letter go out to the DNC and I hope that it is "open" enough to include Kucinich and Sharpton.
Both Kerry & Edwards are members of the DLC. You can search for them on NDOL.org, new dem directory. And it's hardly unlikely to think that the party leadership chose a preferred candidate long before the Iowa caucus. Kerry's rise has all the hallmarks of the support of the party leadership: last-minute sharp rise in support, Dean brought out the vote and they changed their minds, mysterious calls impugning Dean. These are things that happen in local elections all the time when the national party decides they need to intervene. I'm not a Dean supporter, but I do think it's clear that party leadership sees him as a threat and is doing their best to prevent his nomination.
I too would hope that the DNC will listen to the grass roots. We definitely are angry about this unecessary war. Started bt a group of people who evidently planned it for many years. These same people supported the Vietnam war but were too chicken to fight in that war. They are colsely alinged with corporations and organizations who frifit from the wars they have helped to start or at least instigate in many nations. Eisenhower warned this nation about the "industrial militarycomplex" we should have paid more heed to his wards upon departing the White House. It is not too late but we must take back our country. The DNC better pay attention to those of us who are sick of sending our young off to fight these for profit wars.

i think moveon.org is a joke. all the problems we have in this country now have stemmed back ten years. outsourcing has been going since 1992 for example. yet move on.org acts like bush created all of these problems...bullshit. i'm not a big bush fan but let's be realistic about why we have these problems today.

In fact Robert Torricelli led a committe of Democrats, including the Clintons, in a sub rosa campaign to undermine the Deaniacs in Iowa. I was also at a dinner where Deaniacs who'd gone to Iowa on their own dime, were devastated to report that at least one Kucinich telephoner was asking whether a Jewish woman doctor in the white house was a good thing.
The press over-emphasis on a moment of what could be labled excess enthusiasm was also unnatural and stunk of manipulation. The same behavior could as readily have been construed as the most forceful or compassionate, sincere response in recent history.
People might not think it's possible in the good ole US of A but Bush is a Hitler in the making. It was bad enough to have him in one term illegally an election he lost so let's get smart before it's too late and show him the door in November.
Good riddance to bad rubbish!!
I have just one thing to say. George Soros is an atheist and if think for one minute that this country can be run by Athesists, they are sadly mistaken because eventually America will see the wrath of God. Mr. Bush. Keep your faith and resolve for this nation to fight the war on terreoism.

Attacks on ones person and views are completely pointless while online. Such attacks are just masturbationish in nature and as such are stupidly over-emotional. Dont get mad at faceless people. You cant change what they think, its stupid of you to try. Speak out in the press or on the news or something that will see the light of day. Dont just be a coward and attack the message boards, jeeze.
It is now 2007. Although thsi has nothing to do with the letter i feel i must make a statement about MoveOn.org
It IS a joke. It claims to try and stop pointless debates and Filibusters in the government and get back to the important issues at hand. Yet here is a Fact. President Bush will Vetoe any Attempt by congress to manipulate the armed forces.
This is his right, And his Job. There is a reason he is called Commander in Chief. He is the head of the armed forces. NOT congress.
Now, Democrats continue to Waste time, Tie up valuable congressional assembly time, and give every one a fat head ache. They are not trying to end a war. Because they know they Cannot! President Bush will Vetoe anything they get passed congress. So why are they trying to fight a losing battle when its not even their place to do so?
Because they are democrats... lol..... no seriously. Because they want to get elected. And MoveOn.Org just supports this waste of time. They set up rallies to continue the deadlock and filibuster in congress and support the Democrats
and forgive me i get the democrat and republican mixed up jsut by name, you know whos who reguardless of whether i have the names backwards or not.
Now.... while they continue to tie up time and pass stuff through congress that will inevitable be vetoed, nothing is being done about out COUNTRY, which is what they are supposed to Legislate, and Manage. Nothing about education, nothing about immigration, nothing about healthcare, nothing about anything except the war.
its a popularity games to them they believe that because they are fighting this spotlight public battle with the white house, they are the peoples heros well the people are getting tired of it, and people are getting tired of thsi endless parade of whos got the biggest penis in congress. Get back to work.
moveon.org .... you've become a one sided propaganda machine. You are no longer a help to the american people or a voice of the people. You are another tool in the political battle ground.
While you have the right to support Mr. Obama, I feel Moveon.org is behaving much like lemmings. Clearly the Jr. Senator has a lot to offer but at this time in history does not have the experience needed to get us out the mess the Bush adminstration is leaving us with.
I have always supported and cherished my relationship with Moveon.Org but do you really think he can beat McCain?
I have my doubts!
I support Hillary, she has many years of experience, she has met with heads of state over the past two decades and we need someone who the world leaders will respect and possibly say, "now here is an old friend we can count on."
Mr. Obama, is being treated as a rock star. Well after eight years of the village idiot I am ready for a leader not a rock star.
I live in North Carolina and our Jr. Senator left a huge void when his ego took him to the campaign trail and away from our state. The comments I heard about him was he just was not ready to lead the country. So my question to you is why does your Jr. Senator demand so much hype?
Kevin
The problem is, no one will be available runescape money to test them out, so surprise that you will become the most suitable candidate.
