Keynote at SMU Dedman School of Law celebrating the Underwood Library's 50th anniversary, 31 March 2022. This talk frames both the problem with the US government and the problem with us. Essentially where my thinking is, as of now, and especially focused on the bit at the end — that our (boomer generation) has failed our kids, and that the problems we leave are all problems that they will suffer.
